The Brief.

The Premier Leagues’ requirements were to create

  • A website that was compliant, compatible and viewable in modern popular web-browsing clients;
  • A website that was compliant with standard website visual guidelines;
  • A website that is simple to use, clear and encourages interaction.

The website needed to provide an environment with individual routes for access officers, managers and customer-facing staff, taking each on a journey through the course. Each will see the disabled supporters experience through their own eyes.

Users needed to be able to create an action plan for improving the services and facilities their club offers disabled supporters using a range of additional learning resources to use with their colleagues. Following completion of the course, users should be able to produce a certificate.

The Solution.

WeClick Media designed the Open for Business online eLearning platform with bespoke artwork that fit the existing look and feel of the Premier League corporate brand.

Access officers, managers and customer-facing staff all had the ability to register and login to the website and progress through the course module by module. Course progress was automatically saved so the user can log out and continue the course at any time.

Two variations of the course content ran in parallel and the version a user saw was determined by their job role.

The course was split into 5 modules across 39 pages, throughout which users created an action plan for their club stadium to improve accessibility. Action points were based on the course content with the option to add tailor made points. At the end of the course, priority levels could be set, and staff members assigned to each action point. The action plan could then be downloaded ready for use.

We included a range of question types cater to the needs of the course content, including:

  • Radio buttons
  • Tick boxes
  • Drag and drop
  • Anagrams

Bespoke interactive elements included:

  • Snakes and Ladders game
  • Red Card radio buttons
  • Thumbs up/Thumbs down radio buttons
  • Action plan goal scoring animation

A range of additional downloadable content including advice on football club websites, Podcasts, and fact sheets was available from the website.

Once the course was completed, users can download and print a course completion certificate branded with the crest of the premier league football club they’re associated.

The course takes approximatly 5hrs 45mins to complete.
